WUSME Parallel Event at the CSW69

In the context of the 69th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women, taking place from March 11 to 22 in New York City, the WUSME will host a Parallel Event together with Partner Organizations Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) and Union of Hungarian Women (UHW) on the topic of “STEM Empowering Women: Unlocking Access to Finance and Innovation”. The event will take place on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 12:30 to 14:00 at the Church Center of the United Nations (CCUN) in New York City and will focus on two key themes of the CSW69 Beijing Platform for Action 30: Women’s Education and Training and Women and the Economy. Access to finance and STEM education for women entrepreneurs are key to fostering inclusive economic growth and addressing gender inequalities globally. Women face persistent challenges in securing financial resources due to systemic biases and lack of access to capital. At the same time, women remain underrepresented in all fields globally. The panel will be aimed at highlighting the challenges and solutions available in access to finance, STEM education and women entrepreneurship globally, with the contribution of various speakers representing Partner Organizations, European Institutions, the United Nations and other entities operating in the public and private sectors.
