WUSME’s SIDE EVENT and EXHIBIT at COP29

After attending the ECOMONDO (the Green Technology Expo) last week in Rimini (Italy) at the invitation of “Confartigianato Imprese Rimini” to take part in an event on circular economy and sustainable craftsmenship, WUSME is ready to participate in COP29 with a SIDE EVENT and EXHIBIT.

SIDE EVENT
The Side Event will be held on November 20th, from 11:30 – 18:15, in SE Room 5 in the Blue Zone with title “SMEs & Industry: Net Zero transition, imperatives for Global South, new capacities and methodologies”.

The Side Event will be led by the WUSME in association with the German Emissions Trading Association (BVEK) and the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM).
The event will be streamed on the official UN platform and a recording will be made available on the UN YouTube channel after the event.

The panel will focus on how SMEs must adopt resilient and innovative strategies in their value chains supported by technology, AI and ESG. The pathway to reduce impacts of climate change in the Global South: focus on transportation, energy, agrifood & industry. New initiatives and methodologies aimed at boosting climate action.

The panel will bring together Speakers and Experts of the Partner Organizations and associated Stakeholders.

EXHIBIT

The Exhibit will be held on November 18-21 at BOOTH 26 in the Blue Zone with focus on “SMEs and Crafts in value chains facing global challenges: technology, AI and ESG can provide answers.”

SMEs must adopt resilient and innovative strategies. Guidelines to be established, providing the right tools to ensure access to finance and technology and empower SMEs achieve the green transition.”

The event will be held in collaboration with the The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM).

The WUSME delegation attending COP29 will be composed by Ms. Barbara Terenzi, President of the Association accompanied by Ms. M. Valeria Pasquini from the WUSME HQ, and Mr.Cheick Keita, WUSME Ambassador in the Republic of Guinea (Conakry).The Exhibit will be opportunity for the delegation to present the Organization by means of a video presentation, welcome international delegates, share insights and discuss opportunities for collaboration.
