Mr. Nicolas Simani is a trained Economist, who’s career spanned 20 years at Kenyas Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC) – a Government State Corporation who’s mandate is to provide credit to rural farmers in the agricultural sector. During his engagement at AFC, he served as an Economist, Principal Planning Officer (and Head of the Planning Division) and finally served as Head of the Corporations Staff Training Institute in Nairobi – Kenya.

He is currently an Economic Consultant with Entrepreneurs Resource Centre in Nairobi Kenya, as well as an Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit Practitioner with Impact Environmental Consultants Ltd also in Nairobi, registered and licensed by the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA). Prior to going into consultancy work, Mr. Simani was the Principal and Head of the Staff Training Institute Agricultural Finance Corporation in Nairobi Kenya, from 1997 to 2002. Part of his work at the Agricultural finance Corporation involved interacting with both women groups and smallholders who benefited from small holder loans advanced by the Agricultural Finance Corporation.

Mr. Simani is also Chairman of the Economic Projects Trust Fund of the Navigators, a Christian organization involved in Micro-Finance of smallholders and Entrepreneurship training in Kenya. In the past he was the Chairman of the UFANISI COOPERATIVE SOCEITY which is a cooperative society catering to the needs of the staff workers of the Agricultural Finance Corporation.
