WUSME Ambassador in Somalia

Mr. Hamza Mohamed Abdiwahab a visionary youth activist from Somalia. Currently Hamza is the Director of Somalia Youth Hub Under the Government of the Federal Republic of Somalia.Mr. Hamza has been an activist since he was 14 years old.
In 2018 Mr. Hamza founded an initiative named the Diplomacy talk series known as DTS aimed to create awareness, advocacy,stimulate dialogue and to educate the general public on sustainable development goals(SDGs). DTS held 5 conferences in Malaysia and the first ever youth conference on climate change and the SDG’s in the Maldives which was organised by DTS, currently DTS is working on a project called SDG4SOMALIA. Hamza’s journey started in the NGO sector during his studies, where he grew his expertise in SDGs, diplomacy, and youth political engagement. With a deep-rooted pride in representing the African continent, Hamza possesses profound insights into Somalia’s political dynamics, and societal context. Recently, he had the honour of serving as the youth delegate from Somalia at the United Nations Summit of Least Developed Countries (LDCs) held in Doha, Qatar. Hamza is a shining example of youthful commitment and action. While youth contributions are sometimes overlooked, observing professionals like Hamza claim their rightful place on the global development platform is truly heartening.
