MEMBER OF THE PERMANENT COMMISSION ON SMEs DEVELOPMENT
Dennis Hughey is an Exemplar Quality and Environmental Management System Lead Auditor, Environmental Management System Auditor, a Bachelor of Science in Structure Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration. He was the co-founder and President of AQSR International and is now Technical Advisor for Alliance International Registrar, LLC and the Vice-Chair Advisor to the World Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (WUSME) a United Nations affiliated company based in San Marino.
Dennis has more than 40 years experience in automotive manufacturing, construction, service, and tooling & equipment industries. Beginning his career as a Journeyman Toolmaker led to being General Motors Corporate Chairperson for Supplier Development. He was also the Supplier Development Manager at Cadillac Motor Car Division, responsible for developing Cadillac suppliers with Full Business Assessments (Targets for Excellence), Lean Manufacturing Principles, Value Analysis / Value Engineering, Material Value Chain reviews and Set-Up Reduction methods.
He is now devoted to helping Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) using his expertise in working with SMEs through training and consulting activities so that these SMEs can thrive in a competeive environment. He assists SMEs so that they can implement sound business systems, covering a wide range of commodities from Electronics, Stampings, Steel, Construction, Plastics, Rubber, Assemblies to Indirect Material Suppliers.
He has been the key note speaker at International Conferences in China, San Marino, United Nations in New York and in South America and has taught at the University level.
Dennis assists in developing companies with sound business systems based on improved quality, safety, environmental and improved efficiencies.
