WUSME AMBASSADRESS IN CAMEROON

Fadimatou Noutchemo Simo is a Cameroonian entrepreneur who operates in aviation and tourism. She is the founder and CEO of HEFA Group. She was born in 1978.

She persued her academic studies in economics at the University of Buea (Cameroon). She continued her studies in aviation at IATA, where she obtained a diploma.

She began her professional career at Huawei Technologies in 2006. She later joined the Nigerian bank United Bank for Africa (UBA). In 2010, she joined Cameroon Airlines Company (Camair co) in its senior team. She is the first woman to reach this level of responsibility in this company. Its role is to raise awareness among young people about aviation as a potential career. She advocates through awareness-raising activities in STEM-related industries, involving girls.

She is the Ambassador of the World Union of Small and Medium Enterprises in Cameroon and works to support small businesses owned by women like her. She holds an Aviatour Meet-Up Africa platform specialized in sport, culture, tourism, gastronomy, art and fashion. In 2021, she became 2nd Vice-President of the African Sports Tourism Week (ASTW). She is the first African to win the IATA High Flyer award.

Fadimatou is Founder and President of the Young African Aviation Professional Association (YAAPA). Within this association, she created the Heleta aviation scholarship program, an initiative to encourage children from rural areas to take an interest in aviation careers.

Fadimatou Noutchemo Simo has received several international awards relating to aviation and in 2019 received the distinction of “High-Flying Leader” from IATA.
She advocates for careers related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
