BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The BOARD OF DIRECTORS is the Governing Body of the Association and is composed of the President and other Members of the Board elected by the General Meeting every 3 years. The Honorary President, Se-cretary General and Chief Executive, if appointed, may take part and intervene in the meetings with a consultative function. The Board is designed to include influential and qualified representatives of SMEs and Crafts from around the world. The Board meets regularly and is responsible for the management of the activities of the Association as well as supervision the work of the Permanent Commissions and other Committees.

The General Meeting of the Members of the Association, held on 28 April 2022, confirmed Barbara Terenzi as President of WUSME for the three-year period 2022-2025, thus allowing her to continue the fruitful work carried out in the previous mandate and carry on the legacy and testimony of her father Gian Franco Terenzi.

PERMANENT COMMISSION ON SME DEVELOPMENT “CSMED”
The CSMED is designed to:
1. Be a strategic resource for SMEs and for their respective representative organizations worldwide, with particular interest for countries with emerging economies;
2. Support SMEs in facing and overcoming crises, challenges and problems in the competitive globalized context;
3. Identify activities and initiatives that properly respond to the specific needs of SMEs and contribute to the implementation of solutions and reforms that can improve the business environment for SMEs in an efficient and effective way.
